Sombritas

Sombritas is a virtual pet game in which you have to take care of tiny shadows while managing an alchemy shop.

We made a video to show the gameplay, we would be very grateful if you'd take a look at it and gave us feedback.

 

Kindergarten Section

Where the Sombritas live.

• You have to be alert because the Sombritas tend to throw themselves off the table.
• House: daylight damages the Sombritas so, when it’s daytime, they take shelter inside it, that is if they don't forget. You better be careful and take them inside.
• Dish: feed the Sombritas a Healing Potion or a Food Potion.
• Cloning Station: obtain another Sombrita by combining one and a Cloning Potion.
• Firefly Station (yellow circular platform): used to get a Sombrita inside a Firefly Potion.

Fireflies Section

Only accessible through the Kindergarten Section. It’s where the Sombritas hatch into fireflies. 30 coins

Alchemy Section

Where all kinds of potions can be created.

• Ingredients: they have 5 uses but be careful because you can spill them.
• Create potions: you can make 7 types of potions: 3 sellable and 4 that interact with the Sombritas. You have to combine the ingredients (in no particular order) by dragging each one close to the empty jar and interacting with it for 2 secs to fill it.
• Trashcan:  used to get rid of a potion.
• Inventory (button on the lower right corner): used to store one potion and transport it to the different sections.

Shop Section

Sell potions and replenish the ingredients.

• Sell potions: a panel above the cash register indicates what potion you have to create. To sell it, simply take it out of the inventory and drag it to the grey platform.
• Cash register: for 5 coins you can refill the ingredients.

Controls

• LMB (hold): pick and drag objects.
• RMB (hold): interact with the object.
• ESC: exit interface.
